Ballard High School Educators Rising

Our Mission Statement

The Ballard Educators Rising program strives to create and inspire future educators who will enter the field with a plethora of experience, empathy, and understanding of how to best cater to the upcoming generations. For students choosing a different field, they will still graduate with a greater understanding of their own learning and valuable skills such as advocacy, communication, analytical thinking, and an awareness for the importance of education and leadership.

Maddie C.

Student Advisor

Maddie Cain is a senior at Ballard High School. Last year she won first place at the Kentucky state conference for her Lesson Planning and Delivery: Humanities presentation. This is her third year competing at Ed Rising Nationals.

Alyssa P.

Co-president

Alyssa Pollard is a junior at Ballard High School. Last year she won third place at the Kentucky state conference for her Ed Rising Moment Speech and eighth place at nationals. This is her third year competing at Ed Rising Nationals.

Co-president

Kira Wicker is a junior at Ballard High School. Last year she won first place at the Kentucky state conference for her K-3 Children's Literature book. This is her third year competing at Ed Rising Nationals.

Vice President of Competitions

Sydnei Rhodes is a senior at Ballard High School. Last year she won third place at the Kentucky state conference for her K-3 Children's Literature book and tenth place at nationals. This is her second year competing at Ed Rising Nationals.

Sage Synder is a junior at Ballard High School. Last year she won first place at the Kentucky state conference for her Teacher Created Materials project and second place at nationals. This is her second year competing at Ed Rising Nationals.

Abigail B.

Marketing coordinator

Abigail Bizzell is a sophomore at Ballard High School. Last year she won first place at the Kentucky state conference for her Creative Lecture presentation and sixth place at nationals. This is her second year competing at Ed Rising Nationals.

Outreach Coordinator

Richard Davidoff is a junior at Ballard High School. Last year he won first place at the Kentucky state conference in Public Speaking and fourth place at nationals. This is his second year competing at Ed Rising Nationals.

Abigail Faris is a senior at Ballard High School. Last year she won third place at the Kentucky state conference for her K-3 Children's Literature book and tenth place at nationals. This is her second year competing at Ed Rising Nationals.

Skylar Smith is a junior at Ballard High School. This is Skylar's third year competing at the Kentucky state conference and her second year at Educators Rising Nationals.
